Electronic Data Interchange
| In order to send EDI transactions to Integrity Administrators, Inc., you must first contact us via email or phone. We will then create an account on our SFTP server for you so that you may upload your files securely. Your account will be poled several times per day to determine whether or not a file has been sent, and then the files will be processed. After we setup your account on our server, you will receive proper configuration information for your SFTP client software to connect. Any return transaction files sent by Integrity Administrators to you will be placed in your SFTP directory on our server, so that you may retrieve them. We require that you name your file with the transaction type number being sent, followed by a claim type if applicable, followed by a unique sequence number of your choosing and a .dat extension. The sequence number should change each time you send a file. Therefore, all files would be of the form:
The following example would be for an 837 medical claim file:
We would prefer that you send a test file before you begin sending production HIPAA EDI data to us. This will reduce problems and misunderstandings during our transmissions. Processing times may vary depending on whether or not our EDI software is able to properly identify all data elements necessary to make proper identification of the employee and patient in transactions. Our software is currently capable of accepting, or sending as the case may require, the following transactions from covered entities.
